The Amazon Cloud Service (Service Tag) allows customers to securely store music in the company's servers instead of local hard disks, a technology known generically as "cloud computing" or cloud computing.

The Service includes the Cloud Cloud Drive, the virtual hard disk on which customers would initially 5 gigabytes (GB) of free storage, which will eventually be increased to 20 GB with the purchase of any album in MP3. Also Cloud Player application to play music stored on Cloud Drive.

Amazon's initiative is another sign of the intense competition between technology firms to offer world-class online entertainment content.

Amazon said the new service would allow customers to play music on any device Android, Windows and Apple. The service is available for now only in the Together.
